The Adult Bible Study resumes on Wednesday, April 22nd at 7 PM in the Parlor. We will continue our study of 1 Corinthians. Clarence Bunting will lead the study, and we are hoping that people will bring a friend. The study is designed so that one does not have to attend each session.

The Adult Bible Study will be on hiatus for the next seven Wednesdays. We will resume the study of I Corinthians on Wednesday, April 15th. In the meantime, we hope everyone attends the Ash Wednesday services on February 25th and then takes the opportunity to attend the Wednesday night Soup Suppers on March 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th, and on April 1st in the Parish Hall.

Clarence Bunting will lead us through the epistle in which Saint Paul addresses problems of immorality, slavery, church factions, public worship, marriage, and celibacy. He addresse questions such as how the Church can continute her ministry in a pagan and corrupt society. Sound familiar? Anyone can join the study at any point. Please bring a Bible, someone you know and yourself to the Study.

Our weekly Bible study meets on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 PM in the Parlor. Please come, bring your Bible, and please bring a friend. For the next few sessions we will be looking at where the teaching in the Creeds comes from in Holy Scriptures. We will also examine why this orthodox teaching is healthy for our souls.

For our first meeting on September 3rd, Chuck and Pat Baker have invited the group to join them at their home at 6 PM for a light supper, followed by the initial discussion led by Tom Donegan on the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibition. The Monday Night Bible Study will not meet through the remainder of the summer months. We will resume our Bible Study in September, so watch the bulletin for announcements regarding its day, time and place. In the words of the 1966 singing group The Happenings, “See you in September”!

Clarence Bunting will continue to lead our study of The Book of Genesis Monday, February 18th at 7 PM in the Church (NEW LOCATION). Please enter the Church by the Sacristy door. We will resume our study of The Book of Genesis on Monday, January 7th at 7 PM in the church parlor. Clarence Bunting will lead the study from Chapter 26. The study is designed so that people may begin attending at any point. Just bring your Bible, and perhaps someone you know , to the study and see how the Holy Scriptures will speak to us in 2008. It will be helpful if people will have read Genesis Chapter 26 and even Chapters 27 and 28.

Gold, frankincense and myrrh may not be on your shopping list, but they were in fact the original Christmas gifts to Him whose birth we are preparing to celebrate. If you haven’t yet decided what to give Him this year, how about an extra hour of your time to know Him better?

Father Caldwell’s Bible class will be held on the three Advent Wednesday mornings at 11:10 AM in the Parlor after the 10:30 AM Holy Communion Service. The group will take a fresh look at the three conspicuously different Gospel narratives of Our Lord’s Birth:

• December 5th: Saint John’s proclamation of God’s Word made flesh in Jesus
• December 12th: Saint Matthew’s version of Christmas, too seldom studied in depth but likely more true to history
• December 19th: Saint Luke’s version, the most loved Nativity story
