Pampered Chef Party

The ECW is hosting a Pampered Chef Party on Sunday, May 2nd at 6 PM. Pampered Chef sells great kitchen products that are practical, durable and attractive. They make wonderful gifts for a bride or just inspire you in the kitchen! This party has the added benefit of being a fundraiser for Loaves and Fishes, an after-school and summer program for at-risk children and teens. Our hostess Cheri Coleman is the Academic Director at the program and contributes a portion of her sales back to Loaves and Fishes. Please join us for a light supper and a fun evening of cooking demonstrations and help our community. If you have any questions, please contact Betsy James at 781-3410.

Bishop’s Annual Visitation and Confirmation

Bishop Marble of the Diocese of North Carolina will be with us for his annual visitation and confirmation of our confirmands on Sunday, April 25th. He will preach and celebrate at both the 9 AM and 11 AM Services, meet with the Vestry from 10 AM to 10:45 AM and attend the Coffee Hour after the 11 AM Service. We look forward to meeting Bishop Marble and giving thanks for the parishioners who will be confirmed by him on that day.

St. Anne’s Bake Sale

The St. Anne’s Chapter of The Episcopal Church Women is having their bake sale on April 18th in the Parish Hall following both the 9 and 11 AM Services. There will be cookies, pies, cakes and Sheila’s orange marmelade preserves. There will even be homemade treats for our dogs!

Strawberry Festival

Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 25th at 6:30 PM for the Youth Group’s Second Annual Strawberry Festival! Last year’s event was a huge success. Get ready for a wonderful culinary treat and feast on all types of strawberry fare, from strawberry shortcake to strawberry fondue and (for an additional cost) liqueur filled strawberries topped with whipped cream! Please help the Youth Group and celebrate spring by joining us on the 25th. Tickets cost $5.00.

Easter Day Reception

The Easter Sunday Reception is a Saint Timothy’s tradition. On Easter Day, Sunday, April 4th, please bring a ready-to-serve dish to share, sweet or savory, to the Parish Hall prior to the 11 AM Service. There will be a member of the ECW there to accept your dish.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

There will be no Church School on Sunday, April 4th, Easter Day. Children should bring their Easter baskets to church. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Youth Group, will take place following the 11 AM Service. Everyone should meet in the Parish Hall for the blessing and instructions. Parents, if your child will be participating in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, please bring in a dozen plastic Easter eggs and drop them off in the Parish Hall.

5th Annual Spring Sprint

The 5th Annual Spring Sprint sponsored by St. Timothy’s School, North Hills Mall and Second Empire will be held on April 17th to benefit the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. It will include a five kilometer run and walk, a one mile fun run and a fifty-yard dash. The race this year will be held in memory of Lisa Ham and in support of those struggling with cancer. Palm Sunday Breakfast

The Youth Group is sponsoring the Palm Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, March 28th from 9:45 until 10:45 AM. Visit with fellow parishioners while feasting on eggs, sausages, biscuits and pancakes for the low cost of $5.00 per person.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

For one last “hurrah” before the rigors of Lent, the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, hosted by the Men’s Fellowship, on will be held on Tuesday, February 16th beginning at 6:30 PM. Come and have your fill of pancakes, sausages, and anything else you will miss during the Lenten fasts and abstinences.

Vacation Bible School

Our Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be held on June 14th -17th. Our theme this year is Egypt, where the Bible brings to life the story of Joseph’s journey from prison to palace. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities, so please come be a part of the excitement of planning our VBS.

We are having our second planning meeting on Sunday, February 21st at 10 AM in the Parish Hall. We need many volunteers to help with the organization, advertising, teaching, cooking and arts and crafts. This is a way to really get involved and serve children as you are serving the Lord. We have eight volunteers, and we need many more.
