The Fall rotations of Table Fellowship and Family Table Fellowship dinners are forming. This is an excellent avenue to get to know your fellow parishioners. If you previously participated, you will be contacted within the next week to determine if you still plan to participate. The Asher Scholarship was established in memory of Bobby Asher at St. Timothy’s. The sole purpose is to help aid children, whose families are members of the church, who demonstrate a financial need in attending St. Timothy’s School. To date, the scholarship has assisted six different children in obtaining a quality education in our award winning school. The Bobby Asher Golf Classic is the Men’s Fellowship’s way of demonstrating their support for the children of our church community, in receiving the very best educational foundation.

The Bobby Asher Golf Classic will be held on Saturday, September 27th at the Riverwood Golf Club in Clayton at 12 Noon. The cost is $60.00 per player which includes golf, cart, driving range, prizes and a catered meal.

Join the fun at Vacation Bible School here at St. Timothy’s Church on Friday, June 6th from 5:30 to 8 PM and on Saturday, June 7th from 9:30 AM to 3:45 PM. Registration forms for BEACH PARTY are available in the narthex and online [Download the VBS 2008 Registration Form]. We will also take registrations at the door on Friday. We hope to see you there.

The Table Fellowship Groups will have the end of the year celebration at Pullen Park on Friday, June 13th from 5 to 9 PM. Anyone who participated in the Fall and/or Spring rotation should plan to attend. We will be having a pot-luck/cook-out. Please plan to attend and bring your children or grandchildren. The menu will be determined in late May; however, we need to know who will be attending for planning purposes. The women of the ECW will be hosting the Annual Father’s Day Brunch on Sunday, June 15th. This has always been a grand event to honor the fathers of the Church. Pleas contact Cathy Elsea at cmelsea1@aol.com or 846-8114 to sign up for food items such as breakfast casseroles, muffins, sweets or fruit.

Hold that Date! June 6th - 7th is Vacation Bible School here at St. Timothy’s. Please plan to come and participate in our 2008 Vacation Bible School program, BEACH PARTY. We have changed our format to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules. VBS will meet Friday evening 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. We hope everyone will be able to attend. Please plan to attend the next Vacation Bible School planning meeting Sunday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish hall. We need your help to plan and prepare for this wonderful program provided for our children. If you cannot attend, but plan to volunteer, please contact Alexis Booth our VBS Director at 303-3282 or abooth2@nc.rr.com. You may also contact the Christian Education office at 787-7590 or ghurst@sttimothys.org. We hope you will join us!

If you have children, or know of children, who will be in grades Kindergarten through Eight in the fall, you will want to bring them to the Open House. Better still, come and see our parochial school for yourself. The Open House will be next Sunday, May 4th from 3 PM until 5 PM. You will be able to view the Kindergarten Center, the children’s classroom work, the classrooms, Science Labs, and Technology Labs, and faculty and staff will be on hand to answer any questions. There will be a Book Fair, a Student Art Show, a Drama Presentation and Technology Demonstration. You will also be able to meet the children’s author and illustrator, Consie Powell. If you’ve wondered about our excellent school, now is the time to come and see for yourself what goes on there, and you’ll be able to recommend it to your children, your family and your friends!

Out last meeting before the summer break will be a time of good food, fun and fellowship at the Outback Steakhouse in Raleigh (7500 Creedmoor Road) on Tuesday, May 13th at 6:45 PM. If you would like to join us, please place your name on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall by May 4th.

It’s another Craft Buddies Event! Elizabeth McKeathern and Susan Patton are hosting a Create ‘n’ Crop weekend Friday, May 16th from 7 PM to 11 PM and Saturday, May 17th from 9 AM to 5 PM. Bring any craft project you would like to work on, or come use our supplies to create. Come one day, both days, or any time that fits your schedule. Everyone is invited. There will be plenty of space and time to work. If you come both days, you’ll be able to leave your supplies Friday night and be ready to work on Saturday. So bring a snack and a friend and join us for this event. A display board and sign-up sheet will be in the Parish Hall throughout the month of May. Let’s get creative!

St. Anne’s Chapter will hold their Bake Sale on Sunday, April 27th following both services. All of the money raised will go to purchasing new hymnals and prayer books. Mark your calendars.
