Easter Day Reception

Posted by Webwright April 17, 2011 under Church Events, Church News

The biggest season in the Church is Easter and the fifty days that follow. So we can continue the celebration from the Altar on that day, we will have a great reception in the Parish Hall while the children will have an Easter Egg Hunt. Please print your name on either poster (outside the Parish Office or in the Parish Hall) if you are willing to bring a dish for the reception. All families are invited to bring their favorite treat, sweet or savory, to share. Please bring items ready to serve. There will be a member of the ECW in the Parish Hall to accept your dish prior to the 11 AM Service. If you have any questions about what to bring or when to bring it, please contact Kathryn Carroll at 544-3896 X-157 (work) or 845-0748 (home).

Hanging of the Greens

Posted by Webwright November 16, 2010 under Church Events, Church News

St. Timothy’s Church at Christmas is one of the warmest and most inviting places to celebrate our Lord’s Birth. It is the care and love we take in decorating our Church for Christmas that makes it so special. If you would like to help with our Hanging of the Greens, and everything else it takes to prepare for the Lord’s Birth, please print your name on the poster outside the Parish Office. We will decorate on Sunday, December 19th after the 11 AM Service. We would like to have fifteen to twenty souls to help with the decorating. With that many hearts and hands, the Church should be ready to welcome Our Lord on Christmas Eve.

Parish Annual Meeting

Posted by Webwright November 9, 2010 under Church Events, Church News

The Parish Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 5th following the 11 AM Service. On that day, we will celebrate both the 9 AM and 11 AM Services and then remain in the Church for the Annual Meeting. There will be no Coffee Hour on that day, but child care will be available. We really would like to have all parishioners take part in the Annual Meeting and exercise their privilege to vote on the business matters of the Parish and read the annual reports of the Parish organizations. To vote at the Annual Meeting, one must be an adult (at least 16 years old) confirmed Communicant. The two major items of business at the meeting are to elect the Vestry and to accept the reports from the organizations in the Parish. Reports should be no more than one double-spaced typewritten page; we want to have copies of all of the reports available before the meeting. All Parish organizations should submit a report, including the Altar Guild, Church School, Choir, Layreaders, Acolytes, Episcopal Church Women, Table Fellowship Groups, Youth Group, Pastoral Care Committee, North Raleigh Ministries, St. Anne’s Chapter of the ECW, Ushers, Men’s Fellowship and St. Timothy’s School.
