If your children are planning to be in the Christmas Pageant, please try to attend the Sunday practices. The Dress Rehearsal will be held on Saturday, December 20th in the Church from 9 AM to 11 AM.

A sign-up sheet for Christmas Pageant parts will be out on the table next to the Parish Hall entrance on November 16th and 23rd. Parts will be selected on November 23rd. Please do not sign up for a part if your family wil not be here on Christmas Eve. Children not in the Pageant will still participate in learning the Carols and making Christmas crafts in the Parish Hall during Church School.

We are blessed to have 92 children and 23 adults participating in Children’s Chapel and Church School. Children’s Chapel meets at 11 AM in the Parish Hall every Sunday. The Children’s Chapel is looking for a few good musicians to play the Doxology and our monthly hymn. Your service to the Children’s Chapel would be complete within the first 15 minutes of the 11 AM service, allowing you to join the rest of the congregation at Church. We have not achieved world peace, nor cured cancer, but we can get a good start on it by volunteering to teach in St. Timothy’s Church School program. By sharing the teachings of Christ with our youth, we will raise leaders who will work for peace and have compassion and caring for the needs of their fellow man. The smallest commitment of two hours a month can mean a world of change.

We have been blessed to have several new teachers volunteer to lead classes this year. We are thankful for their interest and commitment to our church. We also have several vacancies to fill in the Church School teaching line-up. Opportunities to be involved are available in grades 3 through high school. Children’s Chapel and Church School resume at St. Timothy’s Church on Sunday, September 7th. Registration forms for Church School are available in the Parish Office and narthex and online. Click here to download the 2008 Church School Registration Form. Previously registered families will receive forms by mail and e-mail. Please be sure to complete and return these forms as soon as possible to Christian Education at the Parish Office.

Improve the world for as little as 2 hours a month! Sound too good to be true? It’s not. Volunteers are needed to lead our Church School classes. We provide the eager children, prepared lesson plans, activities and the classroom. Your commitment of one Sunday a month will help teach the leaders of tomorrow about Christ’s love and teachings. I can’t think of many other opportunities to share your time that is this important. Sunday, June 1st will be the last Sunday of Church School before summer recess and will be a Vacation Bible School theme craft Sunday. Children are encouraged to join their family in the Church during the summer. We will resume Church School on Sunday, September 7th. In celebration of the last day, the Men’s Fellowship Group will be hosting a cookout during Coffee Hour.

Craft Sunday will be May 4th. The children will be working on their Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts. Please meet in the Parish Hall at 11 AM.

As we head toward spring and summer, we are looking for devoted and dedicated individuals to help lead Sunday School classes next fall. Please consider deeply why you may have never volunteered in this area. Your concerns will disappear as you experience the satisfaction and fun that comes from being involved with the children in our parish.
