The St. Timothy’s Men’s Fellowship will be hosting the First Annual North Raleigh Ministries Golf Classic on June 16th, at Hedingham GC. We hope you will join us for a day of golf, BBQ, and fellowship. All skill levels are welcome, but hurry… registration is limited to first 144 players!! Included is a complete BBQ lunch, provided by our own Mike Lewis, as well as other prizes and giveaways (see attached for more details). 100% of the net proceeds of the tournament will go to support North Raleigh Ministries (NRM). As you know, NRM is an important part of our parish’s community outreach. We would be very grateful and pleased if you would come out to play or support our project in your own way.* We thank you in advance!

Pleas mark your calendars for Friday, May 11th for the Annual Barbeque hosted by the Men’s Fellowship Group. This year’s main item will be barbequed pork with your choice of eastern or western style barbeque sauce and, of course, all of the usual fixin’s. You can place your order for a takeout lunch, or feel free to join us for a barbequed dinner. Prices are $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children. Pre-sales are available. Please see members of the Men’s Fellowship for information. More details will follow in the upcoming weeks.

With all revenue in and expenses paid, The Men’s Fellowship is pleased to report that they made $1,598.00 for the Asher Scholarship Fund. Thanks to all that participated and worked, especially Bob and Ann Elsea, David and Cathy Elsea and Kevin Bodiford and Liz Nulton.

The Men’s Fellowship will hold their Chicken Barbecue on Friday, May 6th from 11 AM through 8 PM. Please come and join us for one of the following Lunch/Dinner options:
- 1/4 chicken dinner
- 1/2 chicken dinner
- 1/4 chicken (all white meat)
- 1/2 chicken only
Dinners include boiled potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and dessert. Arrive at 6:30 PM for our fancy “Sit-Down Dinner” which will include beverages and an additional offering of special desserts.

Many thanks to all the men who helped last week with the Chicken Barbeque. Many worked countless hours to make the barbeque possible, and once again, David Elsea and Mike Lewis worked all Thursday night and all day Friday to bring us the delicious chicken dinners. The fundraiser brought in $852.39. This amount will certainly help the Men’s Fellowship in their works of service to the parish and the community.

The Men’s Fellowship will be hosting their annual Chicken Barbeque on Friday, April 30th. Lunch orders can be taken out, and lunchtime delivery will be provided for five or more lunches. You may also join us in the Parish Hall beginning at 6:30 PM. The men will be taking pre-orders and selling tickets leading up to April 30th. The following dinners will be available:

The Men’s Fellowship is happy to announce that the Chicken BBQ held on May 1st raised $1,343.43. This surpassed the amount raised last year. The hard work and cooking skills of the Men’s Fellowship were a great triumph once again.

The Asher Scholarship was established in memory of Bobby Asher at St. Timothy’s. The sole purpose is to help aid children, whose families are members of the church, who demonstrate a financial need in attending St. Timothy’s School. To date, the scholarship has assisted six different children in obtaining a quality education in our award winning school. The Bobby Asher Golf Classic is the Men’s Fellowship’s way of demonstrating their support for the children of our church community, in receiving the very best educational foundation.
The Bobby Asher Golf Classic will be held on Saturday, September 27th at the Riverwood Golf Club in Clayton at 12 Noon. The cost is $60.00 per player which includes golf, cart, driving range, prizes and a catered meal.
