The Youth Group is sponsoring the Palm Sunday Breakfast on Sunday, March 28th from 9:45 until 10:45 AM. Visit with fellow parishioners while feasting on eggs, sausages, biscuits and pancakes for the low cost of $5.00 per person.
The Youth Group will attend Comedyworx followed by a lock-in on Friday, March 19th. We will also be cleaning the gym following Bingo Night as a fundraiser. Please remember to bring mops, snacks and movies. Youth Group members should call Mrs. James by Wednesday, March 17th to reserve a ticket for Comedyworx.
The Youth Group would like to thank the Men’s Group for their generous donation of more than $200 from their wine sales during the Italian Dinner. We had a wonderful evening, and we are grateful to those who came despite the inclement weather. This was our most successful Italian Night, and we are thankful for the great support of our parishioners.
Enjoy an evening in Roma! Dine on a delicious Italian dinner while sipping a glass of wine. Listen to the sounds of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra and bid on a variety of items during the Silent Auction. Don’t miss this fun-filled annual event sponsored by the Youth Group! Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and children under 10.
The Youth Group Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 20th from 4 to 7 PM in the Parlor. Please bring candy for our Traditional Gingerbread House contest as well as a $5-$10 gift for our gift exchange.
The Youth Group is sponsoring the Angel Tree again this year. We have 40 names from which to choose, and the gifts will go to families supported by the Episcopal Housing Ministry here in the Raleigh area. In light of the economy, we have been given a large group of families, and we are always grateful to St. Timothy’s for their generous support in this outreach project. Realizing that some of the requests may be costly, we suggest that individuals share a child and purchase their one main request. We also ask that you purchase the gifts and return them with their tags and ID numbers by Sunday, December 6th and join us that evening at 7 PM for Christmas desserts and a wrapping party. This is always a festive event and one that we can enjoy together as a parish family. Youth Group members will be “manning” the tree on November 29th and December 6th. The Youth Group is sponsoring a contest for the Church School children to benefit North Raleigh Ministries’ BackPack Buddies (for more information about this wonderful program, a list of items needed and a list of items NOT allowed, please contact Betsy James or Susan Patton). The Church School child who brings in the most items for the BackPacks by November 1st will receive a prize.
The Youth Group will meet for the first time after its summer break on Sunday, September 20th from 4 to 6 PM. There will be an organizational and business meeting, an activity and dinner. If you are in the Sixth Grade through High School, please plan to attend and see what good thing our young people are learning and doing.
The Youth Group is hosting a Strawberry Dessert Night on Sunday, May 17th at 6:30 PM. The $5.00 ticket entitles you to an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet of all things strawberry such as strawberry ice cream, strawberry pie, fondue, strawberry smoothies and strawberry shortcake. Come join us and help celebrate spring as we raise money to attend St. Michael’s Conference.
The Youth Group Meeting that would normally be held this evening has been rescheduled to next Sunday, January 25th from 4 to 6 PM. We will hold our business meeting, prepare for the Italian Night Dinner and enjoy dinner together. See you then!
