The Monday Evening Bible Study will not meet on April 2nd or April 9th. We are taking a brief break after finishing The Book of Daniel and before starting The Gospel According to Saint John. Please join us on Monday, April 16th as we meet Jesus once again and, perhaps this time, in a whole new light. John Buckelew will lead us through the study.

The enclosed form in the Sunday bulletin is for ordering Easter Lilies for Easter Day. Each year people have the opportunity to give one or more lilies to decorate our Altar for Easter Day. The lilies are given in memory of departed loved ones, in thanksgiving for people or events, or simply in thanksgiving for particular blessings. The names appear in the bulletin for Easter Day. Please take the time to complete the form and return it to the Parish Office by Palm Sunday, April 1st. Please feel free to take your Easter lilies on Easter Day; you may take the number of lilies you gave.

It has become a nice custom of the Parish to have a Reception on Easter Day in honor of Our Lord’s Resurrection. This replaces our usual Coffee Hour and allows us to truly break our Lenten fasts! If you are willing and able to provide an especially indulgent dessert for the reception, please place your name on the poster provided in the Parish Hall. It is helpful if you bring your item on a dish that is ready to be served. We have found too that we need just as many hands to help in the clean up after the reception as we do before the reception, so please make a note so that we can have a count of how many people will be helping with the tidying up after the reception.

The Youth Group has a number of events in the works for the spring months. On Easter Day, we will be helping the Easter Bunny hide eggs at church for our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Blessing of the eggs. All Youth Group members are asked to arrive at church by 10:15 AM on Easter Day. We are also planning a day at the beach and an evening at Comedyworks, and we hope to attend a local sports event. We are also finalizing some plans for a service project.
