Memorial Day Remembrance

May 28th, 2007 by Webwright

On this Memorial Day weekend we are asked to remember in our prayers those who have died in military service of our country: Almighty God, our heavenly Father, in whose hands are the living and the dead; We give thee thanks for all those thy servants who have laid down their lives in the service of our country. Grant to them thy mercy and the light of thy presence, that the good work which thou hast begun in them may be perfected; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord. Amen.

Feast of Pentecost

May 22nd, 2007 by Webwright

Next Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost! After Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Ghost to guide and lead the Church until He comes again. This solemn feast of the Church is one that we all should celebrate together. It is the ‘birthday of the Church”. We will have a solemn procession and Holy Baptism and give thanks for all the blessings we receive by Jesus’ presence and power in the Church.
