Parish Annual Meeting

Posted by Webwright November 7, 2007 under Church Events, Church News

The Parish Annual Meeting will be Sunday, December 2nd following the 11 AM Service in the Church. We will celebrate both the 9 AM and the 11 AM Services and then remain in the Church for the Annual Meeting. There will be no Coffee Hour on that day. There will be child care available through the Meeting.  We really would like to have all parishioners take part in the Annual Meeting and exercise their privilege to vote on the business matters of the parish and read the annual reports of the Parish organizations. To vote at an Annual Meeting, one must be an adult (at least 16 years old) confirmed Communicant.

Annual reports are due in the Parish Office by Monday, November 26th. The following organizations should complete a report that should be no more than one double-spaced typewritten page: The Altar Guild, The Church School, The Choir, The Layreaders, The Acolytes, The Episcopal Church Women, The Men’s Fellowship, St. Timothy’s School, The Pastoral Care Committee, North Raleigh Ministries, St. Anne’s Chapter of the E. C.W., Ushers and The Youth Group – and any other Parish organizations or groups not listed here.

Come share some Austrian food and see pictures of Vienna, Salzburg and Prague on Sunday, November 11th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall. Father James and Betsy will have some pictures of their recent trip to parts of Austria and the Czech Republic showing in the background while we enjoy some bratwurst, potato soup, beer and wine. Children’s Chapel Volunteers

Posted by Webwright under Church News, Church School

As you think of ways to share your time with the Church, please remember the Children’s Chapel. Volunteers are needed to lead our Children’s Chapel. We provide the sermon or story in a written format to follow. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your faith with the younger children of the parish. Come share 15 minutes and help teach the next generation at St. Timothy’s.

If you have questions about the Church School, or if you would like to take home a packet of Sunday School material to share with your children, register a child for the Church School, or volunteer, please contact Grace Hurst, our Church School Coordinator, at 787-7590 or ghurst@sttimothys.org.
