Craft Sunday will be Sunday, February 24th. It has become a tradition at St. Timothy’s to make pretzels and share them with the parish at Coffee Hour. Parishioners and parents are welcome to join the Church School for this event. You may also help be sending in prepared dough. Please contact Grace Hurst at 790-1758 or e-mail her at christianed@sttimothys.org if you will be taking part in this perennial favorite.

North Raleigh Ministries has an urgent need for volunteers. The Thrift Shoppe is not fully staffed on the 2nd and 5th Saturdays. To help meet this challenge, NRM needs the help of each one of you. They need each church to secure two or if possible three volunteers that would commit to work the 2nd and/or 5th Saturday of every month. Please see if you can make some contacts and let Denise Crumpler know who will be there from St. Timothy’s. Denise’s number at NRM is 785-9911.

Angela Wainaina, a fellow parishioner here at St. Timothy’s, is collecting clothes, shoes, towels and personal hygiene items for displaced people in Kenya. Due to the conflict currently in Kenya, there are about half a million displaced people. The donations can be brought to St. Timothy’s for the next two Sundays and placed in the narthex of the church. The Catholic African Ministry here in the Triangle, in cooperation with Baraka Women’s Group, is sponsoring the shipping of the donated goods to Kenya, which will be sent on March 15th.

Last Sunday the children of the Church received Lenten mite boxes. If you were absent and would like to receive one, they are availablel in the narthex – or ask Mrs. Hurst. We will be donating our money to Loaves and Fishes of Raleigh. Loaves and Fishes is a small, private, non-profit organization in Raleigh that serves as an extended family to at-risk children through long-term, individualized support and enables them to succeed in both school and society.

St. Anne’s Chapter of the ECW will meet on Wednesday, February 13th following the 10:30 AM communion service. Not only do we learn about the women of the Bible, but we enjoy each other’s company and make plans. Currently we are planning our Mother’s Day Bake Sale. We will be using the money to replace the old and torn prayer books and hymnals. Come join us. Just bring a sandwich to share.
