The secret recipe is locked away all year, and then on the evening of April 24th, we will start the process of slow-cooking this delicious meal. Lunch and dinner will be served at the church complete with “fixin’s”. Please plan to bring your family to enjoy a meal with us, or take home a meal and share it with friends.

Maundy Thursday Vigil

Posted by Webwright under Church News, Worship and Prayer

From Maundy Thursday evening through Good Friday morning we keep watch before the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of Repose. This commemorates for us the disciples being asked to watch and pray with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before He was crucified. And Jesus said to Peter, “So you could not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Mt. 26: 40-41). So that we can make certain there are at least two people keeping watch for each hour of the Vigil, please print your name on the poster in the narthex of the Church. This way we can be certain that there is always someone before the Blessed Sacrament, and we can ensure people’s safety.

Easter Lilies

Posted by Webwright under Church News

Each year people have the opportunity to give one or more lilies to decorate our Altar for Easter Day. The lilies are given in memory of departed loved ones, in thanksgiving for people or events, or simply in thanksgiving for particular blessings. The names appear in the bulletin for Easter Day. Please take the time to complete the form in the Sunday bulletin and return it to the Parish Office by placing it in the alms basin during the offertory.
