Please keep the young people in your prayers who will be attending St. Michael’s Conference beginning next Sunday. This educational conference in West Hartford, CT invites high school and college-aged young people from all over the country to form a community for a week. During that week they worship, pray, study, discuss issues of the faith and make lasting friendships. The conference is designed to strengthen and deepen their faith so they can return to their homes and be stronger witnesses for Jesus Christ and battle whatever confronts them in the world. Father James volunteers to direct this conference. Attending the conference with him will be Emma Elsea, Meredith Elsea, Olivia James, Sam James, Beth Lewis, Carolyn Lewis, Anna Marie Martin, Jake Martin, Maggie McDaniel, Alisen Scott, Katherine Sholtis, Rachael Silberman, Erin Smothers, Sara Smothers, Ericka Spencer, Jonathan Spencer, Vaughn Vreeland, Meghan Lord, Claire Connaghan and Ryan Searcy.

North Raleigh Ministries is having a School Supplies and School Clothes Giveaway for our clients on August 7th from 5 to 7 PM. Elsie McLamb is our coordinator. The Asher Scholarship was established in memory of Bobby Asher at St. Timothy’s. The sole purpose is to help aid children, whose families are members of the church, who demonstrate a financial need in attending St. Timothy’s School. To date, the scholarship has assisted six different children in obtaining a quality education in our award winning school. The Bobby Asher Golf Classic is the Men’s Fellowship’s way of demonstrating their support for the children of our church community, in receiving the very best educational foundation.

The Bobby Asher Golf Classic will be held on Saturday, September 27th at the Riverwood Golf Club in Clayton at 12 Noon. The cost is $60.00 per player which includes golf, cart, driving range, prizes and a catered meal.
