There will be an acolyte rehearsal on Saturday, April 11th at 9 AM to rehearse for Easter Day. All acolytes who are scheduled to serve should attend this rehearsal.

St. Anne’s invites all women in the parish to join us this Wednesday following the 10:30 AM Communion Service. Please bring a sandwich; everything else will be provided. This is our last business lunch meeting for this year. We will be finalizing all of the details for our Bake Sale on April 26th and also hear a talk on one of the women from the Bible.

Our traditional Easter Sunday Reception will follow the 11 AM service on Sunday, April 12th. Please bring a dish to share, sweet or savory, ready to serve. There will be women from the ECW in the church hall to accept your dishes before the service.

The Annual Parish Easter Egg Hunt, organized by our Youth Group, will take place after the 11 AM service on Easter Sunday, April 12th. Children should bring a basket to collect eggs and wait in the Parish Hall after Church for the blessing and instructions.

Sunday, March 29th: Craft Sunday. It has become an annual tradition at St. Timothy’s to bake pretzels during Lent. We hope you will join us.

Palm Sunday, April 5th: All Church School children should sit in the first three pews on both sides of the center aisle before the 11 AM service. We will be joining the Palm Sunday procession after the celebrant. The Church School students will meet after the procession in the Parish Hall to go to the Children’s Chapel. Parents of younger children are requested to join us to help escort the children during the procession.

Easter Day, April 12th: There will be no Church School or Children’s Chapel on Easter Day so children may join their families for Easter Day in the Church. Please have your children bring their Mite Boxes to Church. They will be asked to bring them forward during the service.

As a means of maintaining a strong connection with our college students, we will be starting a college care package program. College students will receive these care packages around the end of each semester. They will contain goodies to help our students get through the stress of final exams, as well as uplifting and encouraging scripture and notes from friends here at St. Timothy’s. What better way to show our college students that we care about them and are thinking of them? As we’re preparing to send out our first batch of care packages, we are looking for the names and addresses of any college students in the parish. If you are a college student or know of a college student within the St. Timothy’s family who would benefit from receiving a little extra TLC at exam time, please send their names, mailing addresses, and year in school in an email to Marlee Bourey. The Vestry will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, March 19th at 6:30 PM in the Parlor.

Raffle tickets for St. Timothy’s School are available for anyone wishing to take a chance of five fantastic gifts. Prizes include: Wrightsville Beach house rental for ten people, $1,000 cash, a Slane and Slane bee pendant with a pearl choker, a weekend getaway and shopping extravaganza at the Renaissance North Hills, and a head and shoulders oil portrait by Kimia Glenn. Only 400 tickets will be sold. Anyone wishing to purchase a ticket or learn more, please contact Grace Hurst.

The devotions of The Stations of the Cross and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be added to the services of the Church each Sunday in Lent at 6 PM. Please join us to meditate and pray on the events leading up to and including Our Lord’s Crucifixion and remain with us as we adore and are blessed by Our Lord as He is present in the Sacrament of the Altar. This devotion will be offered each Sunday (March 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th, and April 5th).
