The Feast of Pentecost

Posted by Webwright May 31, 2009 under Church News

This feast commemorates the day when the promised Holy Ghost descnded on the Apostles as they were gathered in Jerusalem. The Holy Ghost lighted on each of the Apostles, appearing as tongues of fire. Jesus promised that He would always be with us, and He has sent His Holy Spirit to fulfill that promise.

Graduate Recognition

Posted by Webwright May 25, 2009 under Church News

Do you have a graduate in your family? Each spring we like to recognize and pray for all those graduating from high school or college or receiving an advance degree. Please give Father James or Father Martin the person’s name, the institution from where the person is graduating, and, for high school graduates, the college or university they will be attending. It is important to recognize these accomplishments and to give God thanks for such blessings. We will have all of the graduates listed in the bulletin on Sunday, May 31st, The Feast of Pentecost.
