North Raleigh Ministries Representative Needed

October 18th, 2009 by Webwright

Pat Baker has been our representative for a second term and has resigned after a number of years of outstanding service. We need someone with an interest in helping this fine ministry in North Raleigh to represent us on the Board. Is that person you? North Raleigh Ministries (NRM) provides food and financial assistance to families and individuals in need. NRM does this by running a food pantry, a crisis center and a thrift shop. NRM needs good, responsible and caring leadership on the Board, and St. Timothy’s, as one of the founding parishes, needs representation on the Board. Please see Pat Baker or Father James to find out more about the responsibilities of Board membership.

Saint Mary’s School Chorale Visiting on November 8th

October 18th, 2009 by Webwright

Saint Mary’s School here in Raleigh is an Episcopal School for young women in grades nine through twelve. The school is for both day and boarding students and has been preparing young women with a classical education since the 1840’s. We will have a musical treat on Sunday, November 8th when the Chorale from Saint Mary’s School will be our choir for the 11 AM Service. The chorale has over 30 members and is directed by Jennifer Moran, the Director of Chorale Programs and Instructor of Voice at the school. Ms. Moran is also a former St. Timothy’s School student. Please welcome them to our Church and greet them after the 11 AM Service at a special Coffee Hour. We have a number of Saint Mary’s School alumnae here at St. Timothy’s, so this will afford them the opportunity to come see and hear some students from their alma mater.

Adult Bible Study on Saint Matthew’s Gospel

October 18th, 2009 by Webwright

The Adult Bible Study will meet at its regular day and time on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 PM. The study of The Gospel According to Saint Matthew will be lead by Clarence Bunting. Our Bible Studies at St. Timothy’s cover the entire text, and we attempt to see what the authors, like Saint Matthew, are trying to teach us about God Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ and where and how the Holy Ghost is leading us and forming us as a result. Please join us on Wednesdays at 7 PM.
