The Youth Group Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 20th from 4 to 7 PM in the Parlor. Please bring candy for our Traditional Gingerbread House contest as well as a $5-$10 gift for our gift exchange.
Welcome to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. We invite you to join with us as you explore the benefits of Christian life and the fellowship that comes from being a part of our spiritual community. Whether you are a confirmed Episcopalian, confirmed as a member of another catholic faith or are new to Christianity, we are here to worship together in God's house and grow in His word. Please browse our Information at a Glance pages to learn more about St. Timothy's.

Angel Tree Project
Webwright
The Youth Group is sponsoring the Angel Tree again this year. We have 40 names from which to choose, and the gifts will go to families supported by the Episcopal Housing Ministry here in the Raleigh area. In light of the economy, we have been given a large group of families, and we are always grateful to St. Timothy’s for their generous support in this outreach project. Realizing that some of the requests may be costly, we suggest that individuals share a child and purchase their one main request. We also ask that you purchase the gifts and return them with their tags and ID numbers by Sunday, December 6th and join us that evening at 7 PM for Christmas desserts and a wrapping party. This is always a festive event and one that we can enjoy together as a parish family. Youth Group members will be “manning” the tree on November 29th and December 6th. If you have any questions, please contact Betsy James.

Advent Season Begins Sunday, November 29th
Webwright
We begin a new Church Year and a season of preparation for Christmas. In anticipation of the coming of Our Lord at Christmas, we turn our hearts, minds and souls to repentance, increased prayer and study of The Four Last Things: Heaven, Hell, Death and Judgment. Let us use these next four weeks to cleanse our souls and have them ready to receive Christ when He is born into the world.

Christmas Pageant
Webwright
Our Church School presents a Christmas Pageant every year at the Family Service at 5:30 PM on Christmas Eve. We are planning for the Pageant and need to know who will be here that evening to participate. This is a longstanding tradition for our Church School children, and we hope that everyone will be able to take part. Sign-ups begin on November 15th for the Pageant Cast; the sign-up will be located on the wooden table as you enter the Parish Hall from the bell tower.

Community Thanksgiving Service
Webwright
We will celebrate Thanksgiving this year with our brothers and sisters along Six Forks Road. This year we are hosting the Community Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 24th at 7 PM. The members of Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Grace Lutheran Church, Trinity Baptist Church and St. Mark’s Methodist Church will join us. Please come and join the other members of these churches and their choirs as we thank God for all that He has given us. To continue the celebration and to have the opportunity to greet the members of our neighbor churches, we would like to invite people to the Parish Hall for a reception. If you are willing to help make something sweet for the reception, please print your name on the sheet in the Parish Hall.

Parish Annual Meeting
Webwright
The Parish Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 6th following the 11 AM Service. On that day, we will celebrate both the 9 AM and 11 AM Services and then remain in the Church for the Annual Meeting. There will be no Coffee Hour on that day, but child care will be available. We really would like to have all parishioners take part in the Annual Meeting and exercise their privilege to vote on the business matters of the Parish and read the annual reports of the Parish organizations. To vote at the Annual Meeting, one must be an adult (at least 16 years old) confirmed Communicant. The two major items of business at the meeting are to elect the Vestry and to accept the reports from the organizations in the Parish. Reports should be no more than one double-spaced typewritten page; we want to have copies of all of the reports available before the meeting. All Parish organizations should submit a report, including the Altar Guild, Church School, Choir, Layreaders, Acolytes, Episcopal Church Women, Table Fellowship Groups, Youth Group, Pastoral Care Committee, North Raleigh Ministries, St. Anne’s Chapter of the ECW, Ushers, Men’s Fellowship and St. Timothy’s School.

St. Anne’s Chapter will meet on Wednesday, November 11th following the 10:30 AM Communion Service. We welcome all women of the Church who would like to join us. We will be continuing our discussion of the people of the Bible. We ask everyone to bring a sandwich to share; salad, dessert and drink will be provided. Part of our business meeting will be the discussion of the Bake Sale. Once again, we want to thank the members of the Church who helped make the Bake Sale so successful.
