Episcopal Build for Habitat for Humanity

St. Timothy’s church participated in the kick-off for the Episcopal Build for Habitat of Humanity on February 10th along with representatives from eleven other Episcopal churches and Universities.  ‘Habitat Wake seeks to be a partner and catalyst in building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.  When you join the broad community in addressing the urgent need for adequate, affordable housing, we all become less vulnerable and more resilient. In bringing people together, Habitat Wake practices a philosophy of “a hand up, not a handout” and builds on existing community assets: financial, physical, natural, human, social and spiritual.’

Our parish family will have it’s very own ‘St. Timothy’s Day’ on  Saturday, 24 March 2018 from 8am to 4pm.  We hope to have at least 10 volunteers.  No experience is needed to volunteer and all tools, supplies, and lunch will be provided.  Please sign-up at http://vhub.at/EpiscopalBuild to ensure that you receive weather-related updates and so that we have an accurate count for lunch.  Be sure to note that you are with St. Timothy’s Church.

If you have any questions, please contact the St. Timothy’s church Habitat volunteer coordinator, Liz Nulton-Bodiford at LizNulton@gmail.com or 919-280-1781.

If you are unable to volunteer, we welcome your prayers for the new homeowners and for the volunteers.
