Please mark your calendars for our Workshop on the Eucharist on January 29th and 30th. The workshop will be conducted in three sessions by Bill Ryon, a layman from the Washington, DC area and a member of St. Paul’s parish in Washington. The purpose of the workshop is to learn more about how Christ is truly present in the Eucharist and to gain more of an understanding about how our worship on Sunday, with the Eucharist at its center, relates to Christ’s presence in us and how it affects our actions. The three sessions will be held at 4 PM and 7 PM on Sunday and at 7 PM on Monday. Dinner will be provided between the sessions on Sunday.
Confirmation classes will begin on Sunday, January 22nd at 10 AM in the Parlor. It is assumed that in the course of one’s mature Christian life that the Christian will make an adult profession of faith and receive the laying-on-of-hands for the grace of spiritual strength. For us, that is the Sacrament of Confirmation. If you need to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, or one of your children needs to receive it, please attend these classes. You may also want to attend the classes just to get a good review of the basics of the Christian Faith or to learn more about the workings and history of The Episcopal Church.
