Children's Chapel and Church School

Every Sunday, during the traditional calendar school year, Church School is offered for children during the 11 a.m. service.  There are classes for each age group from Pre-school to 12th grade, including a class for children with special needs.  Many of the classes are led by volunteers from the parish.  Children’s Chapel begins Sunday morning at 11 am in the Parish Hall.  Nursery care is available during both the 9 am and 11 am Sunday services for children 3 months – 3 years old.

In each of our classes the volunteer teachers use the Anglican Edition teachers guide and curriculum published by David C. Cook.  Our special needs classroom uses the same curriculum and is run by a qualified teaching assistant equipped with the most current special needs training.

All of the children participate in Service Sunday projects through-out the year and in 2015 we hosted coffee hour for the parish, a Back-to-School Supplies drive for Wake County Public Schools, and a clothing drive for the ministry Note in the Pocket.  The children also engage in fun and educational events such as group kickball games, Church School Question Box and Forum, Pretzel Day during Lent, Egg Hunt at Easter, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, and the Christmas Pageant.  For more information please contact Sarah Culton at christianed@sttimothys.org.
